GETTING THERE

AIRTRAIN

Airtrain is the fast and stress-free way to travel from Brisbane Airport. In 20 minutes, you will travel directly to the heart of Brisbane’s CBD relaxing with Airtrain’s modern fleet of trains including Air-conditioning, free WiFi, restrooms on board and plenty of space for luggage.

One of Airtrain’s city stations is South Brisbane, located adjacent to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. For those unfamiliar with Brisbane, you can use the online journey planner to map out your journey to the centre.

Taxi

A sheltered taxi rank is located outside the main entrance of the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre on the corner of Glenelg and Merivale Streets.

Taxis are also accessible in other locations in the South Bank precinct including two nearby hotels — Rydges and Mantra.

If travelling by taxi or uber to the venue – ask to be dropped off in Grey Street. Within the Brisbane CBD, taxi ranks are located near most major hotels.

TRAIN

South Brisbane Railway Station adjacent to the Convention Centre on Grey Street or South Bank Railway Station are the most convenient stations to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre.

Trains run regularly between South Brisbane Railway Station to several locations across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

State-wide rail connections leave from Roma Street Station’s Transit Centre, which is only one train stop away from South Brisbane.

Fares have been reduced across public transport to a 50-cent flat rate, across all zones and modes on the Translink network across Queensland.

BUS

The Cultural Centre in Melbourne Street is a main hub for all direct services and connecting buses. It is conveniently located within a 200m walk to the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. The Cultural Centre is located in Zone 1. Brisbane City Buses stop at several locations around South Bank. Fares have been reduced across public transport to a 50 cent flat rate, across all zones and modes on the Translink network across Queensland. CITY CENTRE FREE LOOPS

The free City Loop, Spring Hill Loop and South Brisbane Loop bus services provide frequent public transport access within the Brisbane Central Business District (CBD). Services also run between the CBD and Spring Hill areas and through South Brisbane and West End. FERRY

The public transport ferries CityCats operate every day and stop at the South Bank River Terminal on the Clem Jones Promenade.

The inner-city ferry travels between the CBD, North Quay and Kangaroo Point, stopping at South Bank Terminal 1 and 2 on the Clem Jones Promenade.

Brisbane City Council’s CityHopper ferry service runs every 30 minutes between 5.30am and midnight, Sunday to Thursday, with services operating later Friday and Saturday nights.

CAR

There are 1,500 undercover parking spaces available at the Brisbane Convention and Centre.

The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

A further 1500 carparks are available at the South Bank Parklands, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Queensland Art Gallery and Museum.

The car park fills up very early, so we encourage people to either carpool or take public transport.
