Bob Gee

Victims’ Commissioner, Office of the Victims’ Commissioner

Bob Gee APM is acting Victims’ Commissioner for Queensland and acting Chair of the Sexual Violence Review Board.

Bob has previously served as Director-General across various Queensland Government departments including the Department of Youth Justice and Victim Support, the Department of Youth Justice, Employment, Small Business and Training, and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and the Department of Youth Justice.

Bob has broad government experience including being the Chair of the Family Responsibilities Board, Deputy Police Commissioner, Regional Operations in the Queensland Police Service, the State Disaster Coordinator, a board member of various entities including the Queensland Reconstruction Authority and was the QPS Indigenous Champion.

Bob has diverse professional experience, having worked in central agencies, as a university lecturer, and as a consultant across various industries. Additionally, he has held roles as a Chief Information Officer and served as a Commissioned Officer of Police for over 20 years. He was a recipient of the Harvard Club of Australia Sir James Wolfensohn Scholarship in 2013.

Bob has served the public and represented the interests of victims for the last 4 decades.
