BCEC has a global reputation for excellence as reflected by 192 awards including the AIPC APEX ‘World’s Best’ Convention Centre Award for 2016-2018, and Runner Up in the AIPC APEX Award for 2020-2022.

Getting There

AIRTRAIN

Airtrain is a quick, hassle-free way to reach Brisbane’s CBD from the airport in just 20 minutes. With modern trains offering free WiFi, air-conditioning, restrooms, and luggage space, it’s a comfortable ride. South Brisbane station, next to the Convention and Exhibition Centre, is one of the stops, and an online journey planner is available to help you plan your trip.

Taxi

A sheltered taxi rank is outside the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Glenelg and Merivale Streets, with more nearby at Rydges and Mantra hotels. For drop-offs, use Grey Street. CBD taxi ranks are near most major hotels..

TRAIN

South Brisbane and South Bank stations are the closest to the Convention Centre, with frequent services across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Roma Street Station, one stop away, connects to statewide rail. Public transport fares are now a flat 50 cents across all Translink zones.

BUS

The Cultural Centre on Melbourne Street is a major bus hub just 200m from the Convention Centre, with other stops throughout South Bank. All public transport fares are now a flat 50 cents across Queensland.

CITY CENTRE FREE LOOPS

The free City Loop, Spring Hill Loop and South Brisbane Loop bus services provide frequent public transport access within the Brisbane Central Business District (CBD). Services also run between the CBD and Spring Hill areas and through South Brisbane and West End.

CAR

There are 1,500 undercover parking spaces available at the Brisbane Convention and Centre.

The car park is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.

A further 1500 carparks are available at the South Bank Parklands, Queensland Performing Arts Centre and Queensland Art Gallery and Museum.

The car park fills up very early, so we encourage people to either carpool or take public transport.

FERRY

CityCats and CityHopper ferries stop at South Bank Terminals 1 and 2 on the Clem Jones Promenade, with services every 20–30 minutes. All public transport, including ferries, is now just 50 cents across Queensland.

ACCESSIBILITY

Wheelchair Access

The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) is fully accessible, with ramps, lifts, and escalators throughout. The Grey Street entrance offers direct lift access to the Boulevard Level, and wheelchair seating is available in the auditorium. For accessible seating, email [email protected].

Hearing Assistance

Hearing loops are installed throughout the venue. Please email [email protected] if you require hearing assistance.

Assistance Animals

Guide dogs and registered assistance animals are welcome in all areas of the venue as per legislation requirements. We ask attendees to have certification for service animals and that their service animal is wearing a vest which identifies them as such. Attendees with service animals on-site at the event assume complete responsibility for their animal for the duration of their visit.

Accessible Toilets

Accessible unisex toilets are located throughout the Centre and are located adjacent to major restroom blocks. All accessible toilets have hand basins and are fitted with handrails with a monitored emergency duress system installed. Accessible toilets are also located in the parenting rooms, change-rooms, medical centres, VIP and Hospitality Suites.

Accessible Arrival & Parking

The Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) offers secure, undercover parking with a total of 1,500 spaces, including designated accessible parking bays conveniently situated near the lifts. For those being dropped off at the event, Grey Street is the preferred drop-off location.
